Hi Guys and Girls,

First time on this toolkit and I've got to a point where I'm happy with my Slumbering Dragon deck, however I just wanted to see what the internet thinks from both a casual and competitive point of view.

Any and all comments are welcome and would be appreciated.

As a casual deck this looks really solid, and competitively I think swapping a crushing vines for an extra rangers guile would just go towards making slumbering dragon not eat every single removal spell ever.
Good work tho I never even thought of half of these counter placing cards

As a deck, casual or otherwise, I cant agree. You need more creatures. They will simply remove your Slumbering Dragon.

Maybe add bond beetle in there. More +1/+1 counters cant hurt. Ive always been interested in building a slumbering dragon deck.

Cheers guys for your replies.

Would you put a forth Ranger's Guile in permanently or just in sideboard?

Also what would you suggest I take out for the 3-4 Bond Bettles?

Good point, what about Sheltering Words? Give life as well even though it is an extra mana, also what do you think of the new configuration too?

def main deck the rangers guile. I run into the same problem with my wandering wolf deck. It is so fun but one removal or burn spell and its game over

I think you should take out the proliferate cards for more cards that give +1/+1 counters, like swap steady progress for hunger of the howlpack

Sheltering word, is fairly good and the life would be nice, so yeah that would be pretty cool other than that the only thing I would suggest is adding Tezzerets gambit over steady progress

Cheers man, there is another layout I have been considering that uses alot of cards I have in an Invisible Stalker deck.

Which would you say is better?

Having more humans is a definite improvement over the bond beetle! My only other change I'd make is with the sideboard for each deck, curse of the nightly hunt could be swapped out for Beast Within as a last catch all card.

In testing are you having any issues with getting the proper mana or are you finding the right mana at the right times?

Cool I think I'll see if I can get my hands on some Beast Within Fergusisthebest.
Sometimes, Blue mana is fine its just between the Green and Red Chimera86.

Well after some games the other day playing friends with a wide range of decks it did rather well. I made a couple changes that were in the original format but I think these are whats needed to keep it reliable.

Great concept for one of my favorite cards (flavor-wise) in a long time. Great job man.
